- Personal Data of Connecticut Students on Stolen Laptop
From the article of the same title by: , Associated Press - A laptop containing the names and personal information of 3,502 Connecticut State University System students was stolen, however, state officials did not alert the students until a month after the laptop was taken. Now, students from Southern, Central, Eastern, and Western Connecticut state universities are receiving letters from the state alerting them that they could possibly be victims of identity theft. The laptop was stolen in New York from an employee of SunGard Higher Education, which is the student data management software provider for the university system.
